The researchers motive behind this study was to evaluate sensitivity and specificity of sleep questionnaires, as it has not been well documented in screening for sleep disorders. Based on the results of the present study our findings support the need to add an objective measure of sleep physiology and pathology to subjective patient self-evaluation of sleep quality when screening for sleep disorders.
